First Nations Media Australia's annual CONVERGE conference celebrates, showcases and recognises the essential role of the First Nations media industry in amplifying the voices, stories and cultural narratives of First Nations peoples across Australia and abroad. First Nations media provides conduits for the expression, empowerment and cultural preservation of First Nations communities.
CONVERGE is a vital opportunity to receive valuable sector updates, to network and to have your say in helping set the future direction of the First Nations media industry.

CONVERGE 2024 will be held from Tuesday 19 - Thursday 21 November at the Novotel Canberra, 65 Northbourne Ave. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided during the CONVERGE conference days. The focus for day one is Digital Inclusion, and day two and three will be packed with a great line up of keynotes, plenary sessions, panel forums and workshops, plus facilitated discussion groups and breakout sessions throughout the program. You have the option to register for a single day, two days between Wednesday and Thursday, or the full three days.
The Digital Inclusion Forum on Day one will provide a dynamic platform for co-design and collaborative discussions relating to digital inclusion for First Nations people and communities. Hear from government and industry leaders in telecommunications about what is happening in digital inclusion in remote Australia. Through the creation of an environment where innovative ideas and strategies for digital inclusion are shared and developed, the day will have an emphasis on reflecting and promoting First Nations perspectives in government policy and program design and implementation.
First Nations Media Awards
The First Nations Media Awards will be held at QT Canberra,1 London Circuit, Canberra on Thursday 21 November 2024. Tickets can be purchased when you register for the conference. The conference will be held at the Novotel Hotel, 65 Northbourne Avenue. The Novotel is centrally located in the heart of the city.
We are excited to announce that the dinner will be held at the QT Hotel, 1 London Circuit Canberra, in Ballroom 1. The celebration will kick off at 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start and wrap up at 10.30pm.
